CA State Capitol Visitor Center

The State Capitol Visitor is located below ground west of the historic west wing of California’s State Capitol Building. The design-build delivery will provide an enclosed underground queuing and events/exhibit area, security screening at the point of entry and a visitor center with two exhibit halls, orientation room, docents lounge, and office. The project will emphasize California state and local governance, geography, history, civic education, and other related content in order to welcome, engage, and easily accommodate large school and other tour groups while affording such groups access into the historic West Wing.
