UCSB Library, Cheadle Hall, & Phelps Hall

The Plant + Aracdis + Glumac team is providing design-build services for the renovation of three buildings on campus, the University Library, Cheadle Hall, and Phelps Hall. The oldest building on campus, Davidson Library, will have its air handling units (AHUs) rebuilt along with other miscellaneous mechanical and controls equipment updates to improve system reliability and energy efficiency. At Cheadle Hall, the team will replace the emergency generator system, demolish the existing chilled water (CHW) plant, and connect a new CHW to the campus distribution network, and update building controls and office HVAC. Finally, the AHUs and exhaust fans in Phelps Hall will be replaced.
