Los Padres National Forest Ranger Stations

New construction of district ranger station headquarters for the Los Padres National Forest in Frazier Park and King City, California. Plant collaborated with design partner WRNS Studio on two structures that responded to the client’s unique local environments. The Frazier Park delivery included new site entry design, administrative offices, a conference center, on-site water storage, and emergency generator systems, all while re-using local historical stone in the architecture of the building. The King City scope entailed administrative offices, a conference center, site improvements, and renovation of existing district warehouse, with a straw bale exterior wall for added energy efficiency. The facilities both achieved LEED Silver certification.
