Carsten Voecker AIA, DBIA

With more than 25 years of experience leading large-scale, complex projects in multiple sectors, Carsten’s background an architect lends a distinctive perspective to Plant’s dialogue with owners and design teams. With a focus on team collaboration and integration, he leads Plant’s growing design-build practice. His experience includes highly technical and complex projects, as well as environments in which large, integrated teams are formed to deliver the most efficient project processes and successful outcomes.

Carsten has led the delivery of nearly $1 billion of progressive design-build projects, where he developed an in-depth understanding of creating and maintaining strong teams that emphasize budget and schedule accountability to owners. In support of this methodology, he is committed to processes including Lean construction, integrated delivery, and partnering.

Carsten is a licensed professional with the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the AIA San Francisco Chapter, and as co-chair of SPUR’s Urban Infrastructure Council.
